South Tyneside College take to the streets
The newly appointed South Tyneside College Information, Advice and Guidance team will be taking to the streets of South Shields during the school holidays to offer school children and their parent’s information about the choices they can make after school and the courses and services available at South Tyneside College.
The new team will focus on helping school leavers make the right decisions after their GCSE’s and how to achieve their life aspirations.
Anne Jukes, Schools Liaison Coordinator at South Tyneside College comments:
“South Tyneside College holds monthly open nights at the Westoe campus, but we understand that it’s often difficult to attend them due to work and family commitments.
By giving information, advice and guidance in King Street, it will make it easier for school leavers and their parents to get the information they need to make informed choices about their future.“
The Information, Advice and Guidance team will be based under the Metro bridge between 10.00am -4.00pm on King Street during the school holidays on the 15th, 16th, 18th and 19th of February 2010 where they will be given the chance to win a Nintendo Wii.
We will also be holding our monthly open night on the 26th of January 2010 from 4pm – 7pm where Lindsey Whiterod, Principal and Chief Executive at South Tyneside College will be giving a talk on life at South Tyneside College and answering any questions you may have.
