College seeks Council Accredited Landlords
In the current economic climate it’s difficult to generate an extra income, but the answer may be right on your doorstep.
Due to an increase in the number of Marine students, South Tyneside College is seeking out new landlords for marine student accommodation.
The properties must be fully accredited by the Council, two bedrooms, fully furnished, 3 month contracts and within walking distance of South Tyneside College’s South Shields campus in Westoe.
Mike DeVies, Student Residence Manager at South Tyneside College is actively seeking out suitable accommodation for the influx of students, he comments:
“Recently we have seen an increase in the number of marine students enrolling at South Tyneside College. We have our own halls of residence, Dr Winterbottom Hall, but demand has risen to the extent that surplus accommodation is required.”
“Because of the nature of being a marine student, they sometimes only spend three months at college then return to sea for practical training, so short and flexible contracts are essential. It’s a great opportunity for anyone who may be looking for extra income on any properties they already own.”
Prospective landlords can write a letter of application detailing the specification of their properties to:
