About Us

(L to R) Vice-President Nina Foggin and President Scott ArundelOn behalf of the Students’ Union we would also like to welcome you to the College. We’re here to help you if you encounter any problems and to ensure that you get the most out of your time at South Tyneside College. One of the best ways to get involved is to come to one of our many events over the course of the year, which will be advertised in EAT and around the college campus. You even get free membership to our own social club - 1861 club.

We have an active committee who put on a wide range of events, based on what you want. If you would like to get involved, make yourself known by asking your tutor or a member of the student services staff how to contact the Union.

We not only want you to enjoy studying here, we want you to have some fun by joining in with our events and being a part of how the College works.
