Our Degree programmes are ideal if you’re a senior officer and would like to gain a higher level qualification to improve your promotion prospects.

Career-focussed, advanced qualifications

Our Degree programmes are offered in association with Northumbria University. They are one-year ‘top-up’ Degrees, which means they’re tailor-made for those who have already achieved an HND, or Master or Chief Engineer Certificate.

Flexible study - fit college around your work

Our Degree courses are designed to fit around your work. You can study for one semester (four months) at College, then return to sea for 12 months before finishing your final semester (four months) at College. So you’ll gain a full Degree qualification with just eight months of study at College. There is also an option to gain an Honours award by completing a third semester.

For those able to attend from September to May, you can complete your Degree in a shorter timescale.
