International Admissions

Applications from outside the UK are very welcome. Over 40 countries are represented in our current student population and you will be part of a truly international culture.

Applicants to Marine Courses

If you are applying for a marine course, the application process will depend on the course you apply for. Please see the 'How to Apply' page and also the 'How to Apply' section of individual course descriptions for details.

New Information for Student Visas – updated 28th March 2011

English language minimum requirements
You will be required to demonstrate that you have the required level of English language skills to successfully complete our courses. These will be advised for each course that you apply for. Holders of IETLS certificates at level 5.5 or higher can enter any course, and the certificate is valid for 2 years.

Student Funds
Please ensure you always use formal bank statements as evidence as this is the main reason why visa applications are rejected.

Working in the UK
The UKBA allows students to work for up to 10 hours per week.

Dependants
If you are accompanied by your partner or children, then they can only enter the UK on tourist visas for a limited time. The College cannot issue letters of support as these are not accepted by the UKBA.
