Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering (Fabrication/Welding)

Course content:

This programme is designed with the co-operation of industry to meet the requirements for a BTEC National Certificate and will enable the student to acquire and develop the knowledge and intellectual skills that are appropriate to the Fabrication and Welding Industry. The programme comprises of modern units which are assessed singly and as an integrated combination.

Entry requirements:

Potential students should be at least 16 years and have one of the following qualifications:
 First Certificate in Engineering
OR Four GCSEs at grades A, B or C
OR City & Guilds Craft Studies or Craft Practice,
OR equivalent qualifications.
Mature students may be accepted, after interview, even if they do not meet the above qualifications.

Qualifications achieved:

National Certificate in Manufacturing Engineering

Progression opportunities:

Completion of the National Certificate will provide entry to the BTEC Higher National Certificate programme.
