Train to Gain

More than 15,000 employers are now using Train to Gain.

Train to gain Our future. It's in our hands.

Train to Gain is a Government led initiative which means you can get your staff's training funded.  The training is delivered in the workplace - so you don't have to release your staff and if you're a small business you could get wage compensation.

We've got a dedicated team of Work Based Assessors who are on hand, at a time to suit you to give you and your staff advice on your training requirements.

We've got a range of courses that would help your business.  The list below gives some examples - but it's not exhaustive.

Are your staff eligible for Train to Gain funding?

Train to Gain is designed to raise the skill levels of people in work who do not yet hold a full Level 2 qualification.  Eligible learners need to be over 19 years of age and in employment.

Learners must not already hold a Level 2 or higher qualification to qualify for support. For example learners will not be eligible if they hold any of the following or equivalent:

  • 5 GCSE’s or 0 Levels at A-C grade
  • 5 CSE Grades 1’s
  • 1 or more A Levels
  • 2 AS Levels
  • Vocational qualifications at Level 2 or above
  • Higher Education qualifications

If you are interested and have employees who qualify please contact us with your requirements.

Alternatively, if you don’t qualify we can still help you get the training you need so please call our Commercial Development Unit on 0191 427 3696, email cdu@stc.ac.uk or contact us with your requirements and someone will be happy to assist you.
