Overview top

This is a short course that will develop knowledge and understanding of a healthy balanced diet for a school age child and the importance of exercise for their health and development. Each session lasts two hours over 4 weeks and the following subjects will be covered;

  • A healthy balanced diet for a child and current nutritional guidelines.

  • Planning healthy nutritious meals and pack lunches.

  • Ideas to increase your child’s fruit and vegetable intake.

  • The importance of exercise for your child.
