The Level 4 Award in Digital Learning for Educators will introduce educators to the ever expanding range of learning technologies available to them. This qualification will show educators how to plan the curriculum to effectively incorporate learning technologies into their teaching and enable them to become digitally literate. The programme of study has been designed to fulfil the requirements of the Further Education Technology Action Group (FELTAG) report.
To use learning technology in curriculum delivery
To plan curriculums to incorporate the use of learning technologies
To develop a learning technology toolkit
To determine own personal development needs
Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a teaching related discipline.
No previous knowledge, attainment or experience of digital learning is required but it is expected that you currently hold the role of an educator.
All units are internally assessed using the portfolio of evidence that you will build during the programme.
Learners who have achieved the Level 4 Award in Digital Learning for Educators could progress to the Level 4 Diploma in Digital Learning Design or alternative further study in teaching and learning (Certificate in Education).
This programme of study will take place over 17 weeks, from September – January and requires evening attendance. (5.00pm-8.30pm)
