This qualification is ideal for individuals who have management responsibilities but no formal training, and are serious about developing their abilities. It particularly supports practicing and/or aspiring team leaders seeking to move onto the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.
This course is made up of a minimum of 37 credits which can be achieved from a number of units below:

Understanding innovation and change in an organisation
Giving briefings and making presentations
Managing workplace projects
Understanding recruitment and selection of new staff in the workplace
Understanding costs and budgets in an organisation
Planning for allocating work
Leading and motivating a team effectively
Learners wishing to apply for this course should hold a level 2 qualification in their area of interest i.e. hospitality and catering, hairdressing or sport.
The assessment within this course will be a mixture of both theory and practical assessments through workbook, online research and practical observations.
Upon completion of this programme, learners can utilise the skills and knowledge acquired throughout and apply this to their field of interest looking at team leader, supervisory or management positions in and organisation.
