This short course focuses on practical skills and knowledge. Learners will gain 'hands on' practical experience and understanding of basic car maintenance. It covers the foundation level knowledge required to understand a range of areas from wheel replacement though to fluid level checks and what is involved in basic routine vehicle maintenance tasks.
The course is ideal if:
You have limited prior knowledge and understanding of how to maintain your vehicle. Also would serve as an introduction to give the background knowledge to the motor vehicle sector if you are thinking about taking up motor vehicle maintenance as a career but would like some practical experience of job roles first.
There are no formal entry qualification requirements to study this course, but you should have an interest in learning new skills, and a positive approach to learning.
Learners will be assessed through carrying out set practical tasks.
