What you need to do

All students who want to resit their GCSE Maths and English Language will have the opportunity to sit exams in the November 2021 exam series.

If you would like to resit, you will need to let us know by Thursday, 9 September 2021 by submitting an expression of interest form.

You can do this in two ways:

  1. Click HERE to submit your form
  2. Pick up a paper copy of the form at Reception, Student Services/Gateway or from the college’s Exams office. After you have completed the form, hand it back in to Student Services/Gateway.

Advice on resitting

Although all students impacted by the cancellation of exams will have the opportunity to resit, we would strongly advise that you think about how ready you are for the exams. Having missed time in class due to lockdown, students who achieved a grade 1 or 2 could potentially face challenges in covering all the topics which have been missed. If you feel you are not ready for the exam, or cannot commit the required additional study, it may be best to focus on preparing for exams in May and June of 2022.

Additional support

For those who do wish to sit the exam, there will be additional support available in the form of small group teaching and revision sessions. Resources will also be available on Microsoft Teams.
This is in addition to normal teaching.

This opportunity is only available to students who are currently enrolled at the college in 2021/22.
