Further Information top

The team for Higher National courses in Music are busy preparing and planning for the start of your programme in September 2020. Covid-19 has been an unprecedented and challenging time for everyone, but we have been developing an effective approach to your programme of study, blending face to face and online teaching where appropriate.

Our experience so far has shown that this method has worked successfully and opens new learning opportunities, enabling our learners to develop additional skills relating to team working, resilience and time management, however, you will be supported throughout by the academic team.  Digital learning is new for many but has been utilised within the college through Microsoft Teams.

Music is a heavily practical subject and we are aware that, for you to gain the most from the course, you will need a great deal of access to the music software and equipment we have onsite as well as face to face tuition. We are busy identifying sessions which we can teach weekly on campus, alongside some sessions which may be delivered online using Microsoft Teams. Online tutorials can also be arranged.

All sessions that will be taught on site will be conducted with the correct precautions taking place: social distancing and PPE where needed and disinfecting of equipment – amps, studio and venue equipment.

In the coming months before commencing your studies please contact the Programme Leaders or Student Services if we can offer any further guidance before joining us:
