This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environment other than assessing competence in a work environment.
You will complete two units allowing you to plan and carry out assessment processes. The qualification is delivered through a combination of one to one tutorials and remote delivery. Assessment is completed through internally set assignments, observations and work products.
You will study the following two units:
- Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
- Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
Entry Requirements top
For practitioners who assess knowledge and/or skills in vocationally-related subject areas who use the following assessment methods: assessments in simulated environments, skills tests, oral and written questions, assignments, projects, case studies and RPL. This may take place in training workshops, classrooms or other learning environments.
Assessment top
Candidates complete two assignments, plus a minimum of one observation and professional discussion. Assessment tasks are designed to cover all the assessment criteria with the two units.
