Adult Maths Functional Skills Fast Track (Evening Course) 19+
OVERVIEW
Are you ready to conquer your fear of numbers? Whether you are looking to refresh your knowledge or gain a brand-new qualification, our Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills courses are the perfect solution.
We offer a supportive, adult-only environment where maths finally makes sense. Forget the “one size fits all” approach of school; this is learning designed for you, helping you gain confidence and master the skills that matter in the real world.
We keep it simple so you can get started straight away.
Age: You must be 19+ years old. (you must be 19 at the start of the academic year) i.e. 31st August.
Upper Limit: Absolutely none! Whether you are 19 or 90, you are welcome here.
Qualifications: No previous maths qualifications are required to apply. Your assessment result will show suitability on the right level.
We want to ensure you are on the right path from day one.
Initial Skills Check: Before the course begins, you will complete a small, low-stress assessment at the college. This isn’t a pass/fail test—it simply highlights your current ability and identifies specific skills gaps so we can tailor the lessons to your needs.
The Final Exam: All your hard work leads to two short, manageable papers: one Non-Calculator and one Calculator. We support you every step of the way to ensure you are exam-ready.
A maths qualification is more than just a piece of paper; it is a key to unlocking your future.
Career Advancement: Essential for securing employment or aiming for that next promotion.
Further Study: Often a requirement for college courses and university entry.
Personal Growth: Gain the confidence to manage household budgets or simply help your children with their homework without the frustration!
Schedule: Classes are held once a week for a 3-hour lesson, making it easy to fit around work and family life.
Deadline: Time is running out! If you are keen to get on board, you must enrol before 2nd January, 2026.
