Following face-to-face contact time with a subject specialist, you will have regular opportunities to sit the formative assessments and get individualised feedback until your Summer exams. You can expect tailored support in an inclusive environment to develop your core skills.

Resources will also be available on a virtual learning environment which you will be able to access from home for learning opportunities to suit your lifestyle.

This course will run on evenings.

Maths GCSE is awarded by WJEC Eduqas and will be delivered with a range of resources and with plenty of opportunities to sit formative assessments and practice papers in preparation for the Summer exams.

This course will develop your numeracy skills in topics such as number, shape, measure and handling data. You will be working on both calculator and non-calculator numeracy skills. You will have tailored programme that will be tracked to show your progress. This is 100% examination based and sat across 2 separate papers.

Our GCSE programmes are for those learners who have achieved a Level 1 previously or have a Grade 3/D. We will also consider adults without these achievements if you attain a good score within your Initial Assessments upon enrolment.

You will be informally assessed at enrolment to determine your suitability for the course.

Our GCSE Maths qualification is through WJEC where you will be required to sit two exams next May/June. You will be expected to complete 2 exam papers (Non-calculator Mathematics) & (Calculator allowed Mathematics).

During your time with us you will complete regular assessments and from these results you will work on your targets.

The subject content has been grouped into the following topic areas:

  • Number
  • Algebra
  • Ratio, proportion and rates of change
  • Geometry and measures
  • Probability
  • Statistics

Achieving this qualification leads to having the gold standard in English and maths where you will be able to access Higher Education courses and most roles to start and progress through your career.

This is a full academic programme with an examination in June where you will sit 2 papers for each of the subjects.
