BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Creative Media Production (Game Development) – Level 4

Wondered what it takes to develop video games? Our Level 4 HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Creative Media Production (Games Development) is designed to give you the chance to explore the various disciplines of games development such as Design, Art, Programming and Animation. To help you explore these areas, you will have access to the latest gaming tech alongside a list of software used to produce AAA games. We work with the latest industry standard software including 3DS Max, Photoshop, Game Maker and Unreal engine; ensuring you will be industry ready when you finish the course.

Studying this course, you will achieve the Level 4 HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Creative Media Production (Games Development), which is the equivalent to the first year of a degree. Studying BTEC Higher Nationals is significantly cheaper than going to university but also offers the same quality of teaching and learning that you will expect to find on a HE course/programme at university.

The video games industry is one of the fastest growing creative industries in the UK, which is now estimated to be worth $178.73 Billion worldwide in 2021. With the arrival of the next generation of games hardware and ever-growing mobile gaming platforms, the games industry is bringing exciting new opportunities for those who wish to work in an innovative and creative industry. If you are a gamer looking to take the leap from player to developer our course in Games Design is an ideal way for you to begin building your game development skills and start on your own career in the industry.
