Level 1 Extended Diploma in Computing and Information Security

Overview

This qualification has been designed to provide an introduction to the basics of Cyber Security for those considering pursuing a career in this sector. Through a selection of Mandatory and Optional units including Computer Systems, the Impact of Cyber Security, Information Technology for Business and the Internet of Everything learners will be aware of the dangers from and impacts of cyber security in a business environment.

    Learners must have an interest in computers and related technologies and should be working, as a minimum at Entry Level 3.

    On successful completion of the AIM Qualifications Level 1 Extended Diploma in Computing and Information Security, learners may progress to similar learning at the same or a higher level, including the AIM Qualifications Level 2 Award in Cyber Awareness, or directly into employment in the cyber security field.

    Assessment is through a Portfolio of Evidence/Workbook.
