VTCT Diploma in Salon Management Level 4
OVERVIEW
This qualification is intended to provide an understanding of the sector and the vocational skills and knowledge required at level 4 standard. It also provides an awareness of the range of jobs and work settings in the sector and will enable candidates to make informed decisions about careers in the sector.
Mandatory Units:
- UV40462: Quality management of client care in the hair industry
- UV40462: Management of health, safety and security in the salon
- UV40466: Public relations (PR) in the hair and beauty sector
- UV40467: Salon management
- UV40465: Sales management in the hair and beauty sector
Optional Units:
- UV40502: Manage the creation of a style collection
- Uv41288: Manage the creation of a male hair style collection
Level 3 in Hairdressing or Barbering minimum.
The assessments for the qualification require the candidates to undertake:
- Practical tasks which will be observed
- Knowledge and understanding assignments
For those looking to further develop their career in management, successful completion of this qualification can support progression onto higher-level study, such as the Level 5 Leadership and Management Foundation Degree, with a view to becoming a salon manager or running your own business. Learners will receive ongoing guidance on professional development and next steps throughout the course.
Kit will be provided. Work experience is necessary.
