South Tyneside College offers a range of vocational courses and training options for all ages and abilities, from entry level to Higher Education. The college has a team of dedicated Advice and Guidance Advisors who can help you explore your options and make the right career choice for you. You'll find Student Services next to reception at the main entrance of the college, on our Westoe campus.
We understand that not all students are the same. That’s why we create personalised study programmes for each and every one of our students so they can continue to achieve. We bring learning to life and offer support and guidance through every step of your college journey.

Our Student Advisors can support you on all of the following:
- Advice and guidance on course and training information
- Financial support information, advice and guidance
- Careers guidance – our advisors hold interviews to discuss which options are most suitable for you. Please remember all advice and guidance is impartial.
- Student counselling appointments
- Signposting to other services

Lindsey Grainger
Student Services Manager
I am responsible for the leading the Student Services team at South Tyneside College and TyneMet College. I am here to make sure that we offer a range of services to make college life as easy as possible for you. I can offer guidance on courses, help you think about what you want to do in the future, offer support if you are struggling and need financial help or chat to you about things at College you might need help with.

IAG Team Leader
I am the Team Leader at South Tyneside College, you will find me in the Student Services office most days. I can help you make the right course choice, support you through your application/enrolment, provide information about the courses we offer, give you information of financial support that you might be eligible for and while you are at College I can help you with applying to University and making decisions about your future career goals.

We are the Admissions, Advice and Guidance officers. We are here to support you from your very first contact with the College right up until you progress and move on. We can help students with course information, what courses involve, what you can expect from College life, what additional support you can expect. We can help you with financial advice, applying and enrolling for courses and help with any aspect of college life that you might have questions about.
Angela Manning – Student Finance Co-ordinator
I am the Student Finance Co-ordinator at South Tyneside College and TyneMet College. I am here to provide advice and guidance about all things student finance. The college can offer support to eligible students with free travel, childcare costs, free meals whilst at College, and essential course costs.
