South Tyneside College is celebrating an outstanding student success after Beauty Therapy student Neve Dunn was selected to represent the UK at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026.
Organised by WorldSkills UK, the prestigious international competition—often described as the “Skills Olympics”—will see the world’s most talented young professionals compete on a global stage from 22–27 September 2026.

Neve will compete in Beauty Therapy as part of Team UK, following a rigorous selection process and months of dedicated training.
This incredible achievement highlights the high standard of teaching and industry-focused training at South Tyneside College, where students are supported to develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to succeed.
Neve is said to be over the moon with her selection and excited to represent the UK on the world stage.

WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 takes place from 22–27 September and will feature around 1,500 young people from over 80 countries.
